Exciting News: The Depository: Aural Outpost is in Fiber Art Now

As I work more in fibers, I’ve been diving into that world and it’s resources. I came across the magazine Fiber Arts Now, which includes the work of many fiber artists. It’s been great to see the many different techniques as well as places that are active in the discipline. I saw a post for an emerging showcase. It’s always a bit tricky, defining what emerging means. I have quite a bit of thought on it. Since I haven’t been working actively within the field of fibers for very long, I thought I would submit a couple of pieces. It’s a solid goal of mine to get more publicity for my work and in front of more eyeballs. And there are some serious bonuses to being in print that I have severely overlooked all these years.

In the end, my piece The Depository: Aural Outpost was included in the Spring Issue 2019 under the Emerging Artist category. Hooray! It’s so nice to see the work in print.

An exciting turn of events is that it appears that much of the work selected in the Emerging Artist category, will be included in upcoming exhibitions on the west coast as well as the east coast. Fingers crossed that this comes through to fruition! I’d love to have The Depository: Aural Outpost exhibited once more (although it poses several challenges). One day at a time. Stay tuned….
